Our patent-pending smart stave design, and laser-guided milling ensures a waterproof barrel without the need of additional roofing. Our milling design uses two separate joints; a canoe joint for the staves and T&G joint for the walls giving superior strength and rigidity – and the pressure-treated cradle provides a solid support for your barrel sauna.
The round shape of our outdoor barrel sauna ensure a fast heat-up time. With no corners for the heat to get trapped in, means that it’s a very energy-efficient design to make the most of your heat!
All of our saunas are handcrafted by a small team of skilled craftsman that have many years of experience and knowledge when it comes to precision wood construction. They’re crafted using only clear grade ‘A’ Western red cedar, stainless steel fixings and heaters, and high performance technical units and components.
As a brand, Northern Lights has been crafting high quality cedar hot tubs and cedar barrel saunas for over 25 years, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. We’ve won numerous awards for our products and are proudly a BBB accredited business with an A+ rating. Depending on exposure to elements and usage, re-application of stains will be required every 5 or so years to keep the cedar planks and seating on your sauna looking like new. But that’s it! Thanks to the exceptional quality of the cedar used to craft out saunas, rest assured you’ll be soaking up the benefits of your sauna with as little maintenance as possible.
